Tangled Hair, Tangled Heart
Artist: JMZ Walls
Location: Bedford–Stuyvesant , Brooklyn, New York
Rubber and glue— who knew?
The bruise you left on my heart, like something you drew.
The depth of heartbreak, from bright to dark blue.
So, I had to leave, adieu.
Hypnotized; you call on my mind and I still unwind, on cue.
From hundreds of cheers that turned into boos; was it because of you?
How’d it end like this? Did only I imagine exchanging “I do’s”?
Writing from the K-zoo.
Rising back up, I’m the Phoenix, surrounded by a real team, the crew.
Yet, after everything I still love you, and wondered if you loved me too.
I’m one of the many, yet one of the few.
